Congress to ask Halliburton CEO to testify at hearing
16 June 2004

WASHINGTON, June 16 (HalliburtonWatch.org) - The U.S. House Committee on Government Reform plans to ask the CEO of Halliburton, David Lesar, and the company's KBR chief, Randy Harl, to testify on the numerous allegations of fraud and abuse involving their contracts in Iraq and Kuwait. "If they think some of this information is inaccurate, they ought to be here to say so, and under oath," Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA), the ranking Democrat on the committee, said. The officials will be invited to testify at a hearing in July when former employees will testify about the company's contracting abuse.
